MOLECULAR PLANT PHYSIOLOGY

In the Molecular Plant Physiology group we study how plants use sugar-, light- and high temperature signals to control growth and flowering. These processes are investigated using high-end molecular, genetic, ~omics, bioinformatic and physiological methods in the model system Arabidopsis thaliana and important crop species. In addition, we study the potential of the aquatic fern Azolla for the circular bio-based economy. You are much welcome to explore the possibilities of an internship in our dynamic research group. Moreover, we have many contacts with (breeding) companies in the green life sciences. We are happy to share these with you have an interest in an internship in industry. Please contact Martijn van Zanten (m.vanzanten@uu.nl) for more details.
