Do you want to become a member of the Utrecht Biologists Association?
As a member of the UBV, you can enjoy many benefits. First of all, you can participate in all the activities, such as symposia, parties, excursions, sports activities, lectures, etc. Also, you can join a committee and help organize these activities. Furthermore, the UBV offers supporting resources during your education. Examples of this are: study guides that can help you to decide what course or which master you want to do, workshops for students who have to retake a test and many career orientated activities. Besides these things, the UBV has its own webshop, where you can buy your study books with a discount.
Membership of the UBV costs only €12,50 a year, which you easily earn back with the discount on your study books! You can register through this link or send an e-mail to email@example.com. Your membership isn’t complete until you receive your UBV-membership card. Drop by the UBV-room (Victor J. Koningbergergebouw room 2.02) and bring a passport photo to get your card.
Unfortunately the registration form is not yet available in English, so if you have problem filling it out please come by the UBV-room or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org if you need any help.
How to unsubscribe
Of course it is also possible to unsubscribe from the UBV. To do this, we need a writer request. You can do this by sending an e-mail to email@example.com, or a letter to Budapestlaan 4b, 3584 CD Utrecht attn. UBV. Make sure to do this before October 1st , or otherwise you are obliged to pay the contribution for the current study year.
As said above, you’re obligated to pay the contribution of €12,50 when you’re still a member after October 1st. Luckily this is your only obligation as a member of the UBV. This money is automatically deducted from your bank account in January. If you feel that the money is unfairly deducted from your account, please contact the vice-treasurer by firstname.lastname@example.org. The money will be refunded if you have a proof of your deregistration.
